Since 1968, Special Olympics has been changing the conversation and attitudes about the talents of people with intellectual disabilities.  The effort, started by Eunice Kennedy Shriver, represents 50 years of empowerment and Special Olympics changing the world through sports. Once a dream, it is now a global movement with more than 1 million participants.

We are specifically looking for volunteers with media experience to help in Seattle for the 50th Anniversary June 29, – July 5, 2018.  Most events will be located on the University of Washington campus, with a few venues outside of the UW campus.  An appointed member of the Special Olympics volunteer Global Crisis Action Team (CAT) has contacted us seeking to recruit 10 – 20 volunteer PRSA members from the area for the venue media relations teams.
