PRSA’s North Pacific District presents a Postcard from San Francisco.
Women in Media / Women in Communications – Monday, January 28, 2019 3-6:30 pm PST.
Attend in person, or by livestream. Two separate one-hour panels will explore what’s it’s like for women working in technology media, or women who are chief communications officers, especially in the climate of the #metoo movement. Visit the North Pacific District web site for more information, and how to register to attend in person or by livestream. REGISTER HERE
In our Women in Media panel discussion, we’ll explore what it’s like to be a female tech reporter in Silicon Valley, particularly in the time of the #metoo movement. Are things getting better or getting worse? How is reporting in the Valley different than tech reporting in other regions? And if our panelists had a magic wand, what would they change?
• Connie Loizos, TechCrunch
• Biz Carson, Forbes
• Abrar Al-Heeti, CNET
Women CCO’s… and How They Got There. We already know it’s hard to become a Chief Communications Officer (CCO), but it’s even harder if you’re a woman, or a woman of color. During our CCO panel, sponsored by PR Talent, we’ll hear from those who have made the journey to PR’s top spot, and where they want to go from here.
• Letty Ledbetter, Financial Force
• Karen Kahn, HP
• Melissa Selcher, LinkedIn (former CCO at Cisco)
For those attending in person, please plan to stay for a lively post-event networking reception with appetizers and wine tasting provided by Wine Access and event host, Norwest Venture Partners.
