2012 Scholarship winners
PRSA Puget Sound congratulates our 2012 scholarship recipients, both of whom received $2,500 from the chapter to support their university studies in Public Relations:
Sally Heet Memorial Scholarship
Sean Fraser majors in Communication/Journalism with PR Specialty and English Literature at the University of Washington, where he is President of the UW PRSSA chapter. Already he has completed internships with the Seattle Art Museum PR department and KCTS 9. He chose the PR field for its “combination of a fast-paced lifestyle, creative opportunities, interaction with people and a chance to use my writing abilities.”
Horace and Susie Revels Cayton Scholarship
Seattle University student Shouhei Senno majors in Strategic Communications. Upon graduation, Shouhei is interested in focusing on PR in the entertainment industry, and eventually hopes to work in Japan. In support of his application for the Cayton Scholarship, one of Shouhei’s professors noted “Shouhei is an exceptional individual and was one of my top students academically. He is thoughtful, innovative, articulate and hard-working.”
